Happy First Friday of 2011!
This Friday find is indeed fabulous.
It is the: FLIP PAL MOBILE SCANNER.
It looks like this:
This self-contained mobile scanning unit runs on batteries and stores both the images and the software on the included SD card. It’s compact, about the size of a Kindle, and surprisingly lightweight, approximately 2lbs. All you have to do is open the clam shell packaging, pull the tab to activate the batteries and turn it on!
You can scan photos, kids artwork, museum art, newspaper clippings, coin collections, 3D objects & more. In spite of it's small size you can scan items of all sizes in sections with the included "stitching software" you will be able to "stitch" your scanned images into one have it looking just as your original scanned image or object.
It requires 4 AA batteries, is portable, lightweight & easy to use. There is a small screen on the device which shows your scanned object or image. You can easily remove the SD card when done, insert it into any computer and transfer the image, edit it,print it, forward it and have it in digital form for years to come.
Think of how amazing it would be to scan family heirlooms, a special keepsake, wallpaper from grandma's house to turn into scrapbook paper. The possibilities with this incredible scanner are endless.
It works like this:
