THANK YOU!
To all you lovely & kind ladies who left me the dear messages & good wishes for my husband, it is truly appreciated.
I am overwhelmed.
I had the opportunity to speak with him this evening and asked him to go to my blog to read all of your touching and inspirational comments. He said that as soon as he had access to a computer he would do so. In the meantime, I am to convey to you all his sincere and heartfelt thanks. He was really moved.
At first he could not believe that through my blog there could be this much support but once I started the water works he knew it was true. He says I am such an emotional girl but it is usually always for a good cause.
Thank you so much for the blog support and for your continued thoughts & prayers.
To all my military bloggers, my heart goes out to you & your family as well.
Please relay our thanks to your military family members & sincerest gratitude for their valiant service. We have a common tie that binds.
All the forces united are what keep us guarded. So no matter what branch of service- God Be With them All & their families & friends who provide love, support & understanding. They wait patiently at home and keep the fire burning with everlasting hope for their loved ones safe return.

My Hero is Going to Haiti
In the wake of the horrible state that Haiti is in & the challenges they continue to face, more help is being sent from Uncle Sam & that means that my beloved will be going to lend a hand.
While I am extremely proud of his service & sacrifice, I would be remissed if I said I had no worries.
It is difficult to imagine that these soldiers go with heart in hand and all the willingness in the world only to hear what the media appears to be reporting.
I saw the news today & gasped at the ungrateful attitude of many coupled with the fact that an aftershock hit the devastated region- of course making things all the more difficult in an already stressed environment.
I hope you will join with me in thoughts & prayers for ALL of our military, all the volunteers, the victims & all who have been affected by this horrific tragedy.
May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding descend upon them all.
May the love of God dwell in their hearts.
May faith sprout from even the tiniest glimmer of hope.
May healing be manifested.
May hunger & thirst be satisfied.
May sickness & pain be no more.
May the Almighty God keep them all in his tender loving care.

A GREAT VIDEO ON MAKING A VALENTINE CARD BROUGHT TO YOU BY VICKY

CRAFTING TIP OF THE WEEK (#21) BEADS IN YOUR PAPER CRAFTING
This week's tip offers you a way of using beads on your projects.
Whether you make cards, layouts or shadow boxes & more.
Beads come in all shapes, colors & sizes. The variety out there is astounding.
You can find them at craft stores, local scrapbooking stores,online stores and even Wal-mart.
With one container of beads ranging in price from $.59 cents to $1.99 you have sufficient quantity to embellish like crazy. Here are some ideas on how you can use them.
1 - A grouping of beads as a center in flowers instead of bling or brads.
2- A grouping adhered with sticky strip tape or score tape in a horizontal or vertical line. Those two types of gluing medium work well to secure the beads in place.
3- String some on a beautiful ribbon & tie it as a dangling embellishment on the binding for a mini-album or on a bookmark.
4- Use some wet adhesive, spell out a title on your layout with the beads.
5- Use beads in place of letters,to dot your i's, or to simply underline any special words on your projects.
6- Use them in shaker cards.
7- Use them to fill in stamped images instead of markers, pencils or inks.
No matter what you chose to do with them they will go a long way for a small amount of money. You can get a lot of bang for your buck.

CRAFTING TIP OF THE WEEK (#20) BANG FOR YOUR BUCK USING PAPER
This week's tip offers a way to get some bang for your buck when it comes to embellishments.
Think PAPER...
As crafters,one of the fundamental supplies on hand is cardstock.
Why not use it to the best of its' ability?
One of the things you can do is cut your 12x12 or 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of cardstock into strips and then apply glossy accents or paper glaze over the complete surface for some dimension, epoxy effect & substance.
You can use them as borders and paper ribbons on your layouts & cardmaking projects.
It makes for easy coordination with your projects as well b/c you can use paper from the same line. Out of one 12x12 you can get many strips depending on the size you cut them. You can embellish them further with things like glitter, bling, flock & flowers. You can even use your border punches on these strips making them even more intricate & stylish.
You already use punches with your papers and that too stretches the mileage on your paper stash & your tools.
Why not put that multi-faceted paper to work for you even more?
I love it when I can recycle, repurpose, reuse!
Just another idea of what you can do with what you may already have in your paper crafting arsenal.
