CRAFTING TIP OF THE WEEK #139 Roll With It

With what you ask?
Well, with your Cricut mat or any die cutting mat for that matter.

You know how often times getting your die cut images off your mats can be time consuming, require spatulas & other choice picks to remove them off the mat? I actually tried a different approach which is working well for me.

Basically, you grab your mat from opposite ends once you have unloaded it and begin in a rolling motion to bend & flex the mat. This will help lift off your die cuts and the surrounding card stock.

The rolling motion is caused by you holding the mat at opposite ends and bending the ends in where the center of the mat rolls up. At that point your die cut images should start popping off the mat . Keep rolling the mat until most of your pieces are lifted. You perform the gentle rolling motion until you are satisfied with the release of your images.

This does not necessarily eliminate the need for spatulas altogether but it does help release the images in a gentler fashion.
Just something to consider if you don't have spatulas, pokey tools or the cricut craft kit to lift off your images and you want to give your nails a break.
