CRAFTING TIP OF THE WEEK (#86) Resting Place for Hot Tools

Hi There!

Today's tip is a quick tip.

Here goes...if you need a place to rest tools like a hot glue gun or heat embossing gun while in use, grab a silicone pot holder/trivet pad.
They look a little something like this:

I have seen some even in the dollar store.
They can withstand heat up to 500 degrees.
I say it is a good investment. You won't have to worry about ruining your work surfaces or projects.

Definitely worth a try.

Have a great week!

  1. This is a great Idea!!! This would be perfect for me because 1)I usually rest my hot glue gun on a scrap piece of paper by using the silicone pot holder I'm sure any glue that drips down would come right off! 2)My heat embossing tool lost a part so the metal part where the heat comes through is exposed (can't get my self to buy a new one because It still works perfectly) so when I use it I'm VERY careful as to where I put it so that it doesn't burn anything or ME! Again, thanks for the tip. I will be looking for this on my next dollar tree run!
